Description
This text presents simple working methods for systematic analysis and parametric assessment of soft clays at engineering level. It is believed that employing these approaches would be commensurate with the computational tools available and expertise already attained to solve practical problems involved with soft clays both in their natural and induced cemented states. To circumvent the limited benefits of natural cementation, it can also be induced at the same in-situ state by cementing agents by in-situ deep mixing and jet grouting as ground engineering methods, extensively employed presently in Japan and in many coastal regions of the world. The development at different rest periods discussed in this treatise is in tune with the rapid advancements in plant and machinery along with associated field techniques.
